PAMJ-Clinical Medicine Scope

PAMJ-Clinical Medicine (PAMJ-CM) is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access journal dedicated to advancing clinical practice, clinical research, and medical education in Africa and globally. The journal was established to showcase the rich diversity of clinical experiences, innovations, and scientific contributions emerging from healthcare settings, while providing a platform for clinicians, researchers, educators, and health professionals to share knowledge that improves patient care and clinical outcomes.

PAMJ-CM welcomes submissions from the full spectrum of clinical medicine and allied health disciplines. The journal also encourages multidisciplinary research and contributions that bridge clinical practice, public health, diagnostics, laboratory medicine, digital health, and health systems.

The journal publishes clinical case reports, case series, images in clinical medicine, original research articles, clinical trials, systematic reviews, narrative reviews, clinical practice guidelines, viewpoints, commentaries, educational articles, and other scholarly work relevant to patient care. Particular emphasis is placed on studies that provide practical lessons for clinicians, document unusual or instructive clinical presentations, evaluate diagnostic and therapeutic interventions, improve clinical decision-making, and contribute to evidence-based medicine.

PAMJ-CM is especially committed to amplifying clinical research and experiences from low- and middle-income countries, particularly Africa, and to promoting the dissemination of locally generated evidence that informs clinical practice, medical education, healthcare delivery, and policy. The journal seeks to foster excellence in clinical scholarship and facilitate the exchange of knowledge across disciplines, institutions, and regions.
